In the U.S., over 45 million women are in the process of going through menopause at any given time. Many women experience the gradual but undesirable reduction of the hormone estradiol. During this biological process, many women may experience a range of uncomfortable issues including hot flashes and night sweats.

Vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes or night sweats are common during menopause and may affect over 80% of women.
